The Perfect Wedding

The week of May 11th it rained most of the week in the Baltimore area, but on May 17th the sun came out, there was a slight breeze and the temperature was in the 70's. What could be more perfect for what else but "the perfect couple" - Alexis and Sean. The wedding location was the Elkridge Furnace Inn and wow, what a beautiful location. Alexis chose pink as the accent color for her wedding and the decorations were so so pretty. Everything went off as planned and the wedding party and guest had a great time. One guest noted to us that this was the best party he had ever been to - great job Alexis and Sean, the two of you are an absolutely amazing pair; enjoy the rest of your lives together! Click the link to the right to see their wedding slide show.

Well the big day is coming soon for Tyra and Ron and we took a trip to one of Baltimore's beautiful location earlier this month to shoot some engagement pictures. The weather was picture perfect, just as this wonderful couple was. We are so excited about capturing your wedding day and can hardly wait!

Happy Birthday Dear Friend

On Saturday, I attended a birthday celebration for a dear life long friend. Although I was a guest, I had to snap off a few. It was very special and there were tears of joy all around. I would like to thank her family for this wonderful celebration for a wonderful mother, wife, sister, and friend. Many, many more Camilla. We love you! The link to the celebration slideshow is to the right. Enjoy!

My Faith Has Been Restored

Last week I posted about the customer service I received from a company that I do business with; well my faith in this company has been restored. I wrote the company about my disappointment in their customer service and the owner immediately called me to apologize and thank me for letting her know that there was a problem. She personally took the blame and said that things would change. I am totally encouraged by her actions and have decided to continue to do business with them. It took courage for her to step up to the plate and do something about my complaint and I applaud her; if only other businesses would do the same. If you have a complaint about a company you are doing business with, let them know. Maybe the manager or owner isn't aware that there is a problem and would be appreciative of your input - give it a try.

Doesn't Anyone Believe in Good Customer Service Anymore?

I had an experience yesterday that leads me to believe that good customer service is becoming a thing of the past. I had an appointment scheduled and when I showed up on time, I was told that it needed to be rescheduled because an item that was required for my appointment had not yet arrived. Why was I not told this at least one day before my appointment? I left my work, drove to their office, only to be told that someone tried to call me, when in fact they didn't. I don't know about you, but I consider this behavior from someone that I am paying to be totally unacceptable. It is things like this that make me strive for outstanding customer service in my own business. I know how I felt yesterday and I never want my customers to feel this way. More and more I am experiencing this type of behavior from businesses and most of them don't seem to care if the customer is treated poorly. Is this the norm? What are your expectations?

Leigha's and Larry's Wedding Day Photographs

All I can say is wow! This entire family was awesome and Larry and Leigha were such sweethearts. I spent almost the whole wedding day with Leigha starting at the beauty salon right through the reception; what a beauty, inside and out. What a fun couple and the reception was a blast. Congratulations to them and their family for taking this step!

Photography from Charles' andTiffany's Engagement Session & Wedding

Tiffany looked like a princess on that day and Charles handsomely dressed in white couldn't keep his eyes off of his beatiful bride. Vows were exchanged and tears were shed, this was an absolutely stunning couple and their love for one another was apparent to everyone. I had the honor of photographing their engagement session and wedding day and it was a pure pleasure. Thanks Tiffany and Charles for reminding all of us what love is all about.

Beautiful Baby Boy Portrait Session

Last fall I had the pleasure of doing a portrait photography session of beautiful blue eyed Ryan. What fun! What a great baby boy, full of smiles and he loves classical music. I can hardly wait for
the next session to see how he has grown; see you soon Ryan!

My First Post!

Okay I know, it's about time! Well, here goes my first post and I want to share with all of you my favorite wedding, portrait, and special event photos of 2007. I want to thank all of my clients, who I now consider friends, for an enlightening year with beautiful memories. Each of you inspired my creative juices in different ways and because of you I continue to grow as an artist. I learned so much last year, thanks to the likes of Wedding & Portrait Photographers International (WPPI) and Professional Photographer of America, Inc. (PPA). I am so looking forward to 2008 and what it will bring. The passion continues to grow in leaps and bounds and throughout the year I will be sharing with all of you its fruits.
